Description: A depiction of a kindergarten class from Hyldagerskolen in Albertslund, where a group of 5-6 year olds meet every day for three hours to play in activities that make them feel safe in the community and train their ability to solve a number of tasks. The film shows the pedagogical work in the class in a number of situations that prepare the children to enter first grade and receive the actual subject teaching. Observations are made of the individual developments, which also have the character of the children playing their way up to working together. Kindergarten teacher Iris Juel is the driving force behind all the activities.
