Description: A market is taking place in Køge. Farmers from the surrounding area flock to Køge Town Square. A selection of the town's shops is showcased, including Axel Kiel’s bedding store, H. Langkilde’s men’s outfitters, and Johan Fursøe’s wine shop. Local residents are also featured, including Køge’s own "character" Reinhardt—known as "the Admiral who sorted out everything and everyone"—and the teacher Niels Koefoed, who would later become the mayor of Køge. Footage from the first ship launch at Kjøge Shipyard on July 26, 1921, shows the S/S *Nerma* being put into the water. Footage from the South Beach (Sydstranden) shows men and women bathing separately. The sports club’s anniversary celebration on July 24, 1921, features events such as a "veterans' match" played by Køge Football Club. A tug-of-war contest takes place to decide the awarding of a cinema license; Christian Arhoff acts as the referee. Footage from one of the tourist association’s festivities on August 4–5, 1928, includes a flower parade. Scenes from the streets and lanes of Køge show idyllic half-timbered houses, the Køge River, Køge Harbor, and Vallø Castle. The cinema is set to move to new, modern premises; reconstruction begins in the autumn of 1939 and is completed the following year. Speeches are delivered by various mayors at the topping-out ceremony. Some of the footage from this film also appears in the films *Badeanstalten Køge* and *Køge by 1928-1921*.

Description: The media project 'Preschool Education Abroad' originated from an initiative by Hans-Jürgen Weineck, a film and television journalist from Heidelberg, and the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs of Baden-Württemberg, and was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science and the state ministries of education and cultural affairs. The starting point for the development of the media network was the fact that the new initiatives in the field of preschool education developed in the Federal Republic of Germany in recent years were, to a significant extent, influenced by corresponding developments in other countries. Concepts and experiences existed there that provided an opportunity to reexamine conventional ideas in the field of preschool education, which could offer inspiration for a structural and content-related reorientation. It therefore seemed sensible to present the models and activities for preschool education developed in various countries and make them accessible to all educational professionals who work with children. The episode 'Socialzation' begins by showing Israeli children in a kibbutz kindergarten. Here, the children experience separation from their biological caregivers at an early age and come to see the teacher as a surrogate mother. The parents work nearby, so the separation is only experienced in the immediate moment. Socialization under limited living conditions is illustrated with examples from a Bedouin camp, slum children in a redevelopment area, and a satellite town of Amsterdam. The film then explores socialization in kindergartens, focusing on the child's interactions with peers. The footage shows children from various kindergartens across Europe. Finally, the film highlights the important relationship between the teacher, the parents, and the child.

Description: In *La Inocencia* (2013), Eduardo de la Serna follows two six-year-old girls through their first year of school, capturing all the challenges that entails. However, their differing social, geographic, and political contexts mean that—despite following the same educational curriculum—each girl progresses through vastly different life experiences and conflicts, shaped by class differences and their relationships with peers and family.

Morena lives with her mother in the city of Buenos Aires and attends a private school. Meanwhile, Gabi spends her childhood with her father and two siblings in a modest home in the rural town of Jáchal, in the province of San Juan. Both girls learn how to make mistakes and how to interact with classmates in the school environment—a setting that is entirely new and eye-opening, yet sometimes harsh and cruel. Morena has an absent father and classmates who take advantage of her tendency not to stand up for herself. Gabi struggles to pay attention in class due to distractions posed by her surroundings, a lack of material goods, and the responsibilities of looking after her siblings and friends.

Description: The expedition report documents the first south-to-north crossing of Brazilian Guiana. Between 1935 and 1937, the German geologist and zoologist Otto Schulz-Kampfhenkel (who also authored a book of the same name) explored a previously completely unexplored jungle region by first navigating the Amazon and then its tributary, the Rio Jary, all the way up to Guayana. Among other things, the film depicts the jungle life of the Oayana and Oayapi. These two Indian tribes, whose culture had remained at the Neolithic stage, were believed to be extinct until that time.
