Johannes Møllehave talks about the 60s, which is described as the big "take-your-own table". Good times get better, and during the decade many families can afford their own house with bathrooms and children's rooms, their own car and television - and perhaps a trip south. To afford it all, both father and mother have to work, and many children are left to fend for themselves as "key children". Rebellion lurks beneath the neat facades. The children will have a say in decision-making and a student council in the school. "Are they learning enough there", ask the worried parents who have to watch their children demonstrate in front of Christiansborg.

This section is about the period 1950-1960, the post-war period, which was first characterized by narrow-mindedness and Cold War anxiety. For many city children, the annual free train ticket is the way to light and air in the countryside. But here, too, the children must all participate in the daily toil on the farm, alternating with meager lessons in the village school. During the 50s, great changes take place. Financial aid and new goods arrive from the United States. One is influenced by the American way of life, the term "Teenager" arises, and they become the first generation of young people with money in their pockets. In the broadcast, "witnesses" take part, who tell what the film apparatus did not catch.
