Description: From Bits and Pieces Part 3. Compilation of films and raw footage from the period 1927-1939. Children love to play near and with water: children playing with water and sand on the beach, a boy sailing a toy sailboat on a string, boys fishing, a boy playing with a tub in the water, a boy playing with a dog in the water, a boy sailing on a raft, children with shorts pulled up in the water, children playing with sand, children on the beach, a water fight in a swimming pool. Barrels are checked for leaks: a man fills a barrel with hot water using a bucket and a funnel, a barrel is shaken back and forth to clean it, the barrel is hit, a leak is caulked with cotton wool. Filled with hot grease: a barrel is filled and rolled to a boat, a fully loaded boat sails. A sprinkler keeps the barrel cool: a boat with a sprinkler and wet barrels. A view of a gallery from Dr. Rollier in Leysin, Switzerland, 19..: children in rows of beds in the sun. A stretch bandage: a boy in a bed with a leg in a splint. Ice hockey rink in Haarlem, 19..: men's ice hockey game with an audience. A jump over 10 boys: a man dives over a row of ten boys after a jump from a springboard, landing on a cushion. Bleeding from the ulnar artery (high sling): applying a bandage and sling to a man. When Amsterdam's youth are hot: children playing in a shallow pool, children on a sandy beach near a residential area, a small bridge over the water, children eating ice cream.
