The first waves: waves in the pool with swimmers and bathers, people holding on to ropes stretched across the pool. Make yourself comfortable: a boy doing exercises with a physiotherapist. Triplets in the stadium: a cycling race with three-person bicycles in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.

Barrels are checked for leaks: a man fills a barrel with hot water using a bucket and a funnel, a barrel is shaken back and forth to clean it, the barrel is hit, a leak is caulked with cotton wool. Filled with hot grease: a barrel is filled and rolled to a boat, a fully loaded boat sails. A sprinkler keeps the barrel cool: a boat with a sprinkler and wet barrels. A view of a gallery from Dr. Rollier in Leysin, Switzerland, 19..: children in rows of beds in the sun. A stretch bandage: a boy in a bed with a leg in a splint. Ice hockey rink in Haarlem, 19..: men's ice hockey game with an audience. A jump over 10 boys: a man dives over a row of ten boys after a jump from a springboard, landing on a cushion. Bleeding from the ulnar artery (high sling): applying a bandage and sling to a man. When Amsterdam's youth are hot: children playing in a shallow pool, children on a sandy beach near a residential area, a small bridge over the water, children eating ice cream.

The outdoor school: boys and girls set up chairs and tables on the terrace and receive lessons.
