Flower parades, Juliana and Bernhard with Maroons, lunch boxes on the luggage carrier, smoking children and the festive entrance of the Philips sun: these are just a few of the color fragments that change our view of the 1950s forever. The broadcast 'The other fifties' gives a unique picture of a decade that was boring, austere and basic, but actually not too bad in color.
