Description: The children are at the center of this mosaic of moving images from large and small events in Denmark over 100 years. Johannes Møllehave talks about a period characterized by increasing technical development. In the countryside, people still work according to centuries-old methods, and here life is primitive, but in the cities modern life tempts. Factories are opening up, cars are starting to dominate the cityscape and a few airplanes are seen in the sky. The world is getting smaller, the sensational radio sends voices and music into the atmosphere and for the first time a Danish king visits Greenland. The broadcast features "witnesses" who talk about being a child in the countryside and in Greenland in the 20s.
