Description: A photograph by Bernese photographer Michael Von Graffenried is on display at the MUCEM in Marseille until December 9, along with other works, as part of the exhibition "Naturist Paradises," dedicated to the movement's centenary. The artist is also presenting his series "Nude in Paradise" at the Espace CRICO.

In the south of France, in Marseille, the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations (MUCEM) has been hosting an exhibition entitled "Naturist Paradises" since July, bringing together 600 photographs, films, magazines, everyday objects, paintings, drawings, books, prints, and sculptures.

France is the world's leading tourist destination for naturists: its temperate climate and the presence of three seas have facilitated the establishment of communities, which—except in Switzerland—have few real equivalents elsewhere in Europe, where naturism is practiced more freely, outside of formal communities.

Naturism is a movement born over a hundred years ago, with roots in Germany and Switzerland in particular. It's a practice that emerged from the rejection of urban life and industrialization in late 19th-century Europe. "When you're naked, everyone is on the same level. There are no rich or poor, because there are no Rolexes, no brands, no clothes. You're truly yourself," Swiss photographer Michael Von Graffenried told the 7:30 p.m. news on October 14.

Description: On a trip around Finland with seasoned travel photographer Axel Hald-Christensen. The trip starts on board the ferry Finlandia. On the way, the travel photographer and his travel companions pass Lahti, Mikkeli and Savonlinna, where he films sights such as Olavinlinna (Olofsborg) and the Kerimaki Church. Along the way, they stay overnight at campsites and both sail and swim in the many lakes and rivers. The landscape is characterized by forest and water. The trip also passes Helsinki and the various sights that the capital offers: the iconic station building, the market square, open-air theater and folk dancing in Finnish folk costumes. In addition, there are also recordings from, among other places, the Temple Square Church and the statue of Johan Ludvig Runeberg, who is considered Finland's national poet. Finally, the trip heads home again with Finlandia.

Description: It's one of Switzerland's most significant "cold cases": on September 28, 1985, Sarah Oberson, a 5-year-old girl, disappeared while riding her bike in the schoolyard in Saxon, her village in Valais. Since then, there have been no clues or traces. Forty years later, Temps Présent revisits the gray areas that persist in this case.
