Lex Sheldon (Lorraine's husband and Sandy's (and Bill's) father) was director of Camp Hawthorne from 1950 to 1969 and a camper and counselor at the camp in the 1920's and 1930's. Lex attended Poly Prep where he was the captain of the football team and Dartmouth College.
